Xing Yi, Tai Chi and Baguazhang
The three internal martial arts are, Xing Yi, Tai Chi and Baguazhang (Pa Kua).
Internal arts differ from most other martial arts in China because they have Taoist origins rather than from the Buddhist tradition.
The Taoist arts use relaxed posture, together with harnessing the breathing and mental focus to produce power.
The internal arts can be done fast with explosive force, or slowly to enhance relaxation and wellbeing.
Integral to all the three internal arts is Chi Kung (Qigong).
John Hine is a Chinese Internal Martial Arts Master who has been training for over 45 years, and runs one of the longest established and successful chain of Tai Chi schools in the UK.
